Retreats
The Woodland Sanctuary provides a beautiful and tranquil setting for retreats. Rates for retreats differ from the lodge rental rates and are dependent upon several factors including amount of lodging needed, amount of people, and length of retreat. If you would like to schedule your own retreat at the Woodland Sanctuary, please contact Deb Basl for more information. Deb also hosts four co-ed adult retreats a year as well as occasional women's and kid's retreats. For more information about these retreats, see below.
Registering
Please register as soon as possible for workshops and accommodations because lodging space is limited. To register, simply phone Deb Basl and provide the names and numbers of those attending.
The lodge at the Woodland Sanctuary has space for 16. Spaces are first offered to all workshop leaders/instructors, and then on a first come, first serve basis to retreat guests. For summer events, there are two small cabins located in the heart of the Sanctuary that are also available. Located on the fishing pond and lake respectively, both are only a short drive from the lodge. They are electricity-free but cabin guests are welcome to use all the amenities of the lodge (bathrooms, kitchen, etc.) Camping is also welcome provided you bring your own equipment.
If the accomodations fill and you are not interested in camping, there are rooms at the AuSable Valley Inn which is located a few miles from the Sanctuary in Mio, MI. Their phone number is 989-826-1737 and for more information you can visit their website. There are also rooms about 25 minutes away at the Garland Inn in Lewiston, MI. Their phone number is 877-4-GARLAND and for more information you can visit their website.
